I love my doctor!

I am getting induced tomorrow morning at 6:30am! At my appointment today I found out that I am 2cm dilated, but my doctor was pretty sure I'd go over my due date. But she is going to be out of town all next week, and wants to deliver our baby (she must really like us) so she decided to induce us tomorrow morning so she would for sure be here! I was so happy when she said that...I think I might bake her a cake! We will hopefully have him tomorrow, which means he'll be a St. Patricks day baby. Oh and Brian and I also met 3 years ago tomorrow at a party, so that makes it even more fun! Wish us luck, we're about to become parents!

Ticking time bomb

Today I am 10 days away from the due date. I had an appointment today and my doctor said that so far there isn't any progression towards labor. But she did add that everything can change over night...but I'm not getting my hopes up. I keep telling myself that I am going to go over my due date, so that if it actually happens I won't be upset about it. I remember when we first found out that we were going to have a baby we'd say he was coming next year. March seemed so far away. Then when we moved to Sandy it was 3 months way, which quickly became 3 weeks, and now I can say my due date is next week. It's crazy how quickly time goes. I am crossing my fingers that at my next appointment some progress has been made and that we'll be closer to finally meeting him and seeing what he looks like. It's time for one more Ute fan to be born!

4 legged visitors

Cute right? Not if they have invaded your home! If you remember from an early post I mentioned that I found a dead mouse under our couch, well lucky for us he left behind some friends who are alive and well. When we first moved in I noticed a little scurrying sound in the walls and the occasional squeaking-but when I found the dead mouse I dismissed it thinking the problem had been solved. Then about a week ago I noticed a mouse running across our family room and dodge into the storage room before we could catch him. I didn't think too much of it...until a few nights after that I saw another fatter mouse doing the same thing. On Sunday I went into our storage room and it reaked! So I had Brian take out all of the stuff that was in there so we could see what was going on...what we found is discusting. Lots and lots of mouse poop along the baseboards of the wall. Gross. I'm assuming we have a little mouse family living in our walls and storage room. Brian has set out a good amount of mouse traps (one mouse has already fallen to it's death) and hopefully we can solve this problem soon, unless they start paying me rent I do not want these little mice running around my house!

Logan baby shower

This past weekend I headed up to Logan for a baby shower that my friends from work did for me. We went to lunch at my favorite restaurant that isn't down here, Firehouse Pizza. It was so fun to catch up with them again, and of course I got lots of great things for the baby. It had been 2 months since I had been up to Logan, I swear that the drive was 20 miles longer than it used to be, it took forever to get there but it was well worth the drive. Thank you to everyone that came, and especially to Julie who planned it.
Here is a picture of my Logan friends.

Out with the old...in with the new!

For Christmas this year Brian and I got a new couch! Our old couches were donated to us from his Aunt and Uncle (who knows how old they actually are) but we were very anxious to replace them with something we could both fit on! They finally came after 6 long weeks of waiting!

Fun side story...when I moved our old couch to make room for the new one I found this...yep, a dead mouse had been chillin under there. Sick.
This is what our couches used to look like... (small, old, and uncomfortable)
And here are our beautiful new couches! I love them. It's a sectional, and each piece is almost as wide as a twin size mattress...they make everything else in our apartment look nicer. It's fabulous.

One of the best Christmas presents ever!

Our life

Brian and Stevie:
Living is Sandy is great. We love it. Everytime I hear about the lastest snow storm up in Logan I always smile a little bit. We both like our jobs here. I am working part time as a nanny for two families. It's great for me, the kids are very well behaved and it's nice to only work a few hours each day in the morning. Brian started his job at ARUP, he works as a data-entry person. Right now he works the day shift while in training, but he's going to start his actual shift, which is the graveyard, next week, I'm not quite sure how I feel about that-I don't like to be home alone while sleeping...but I'm sure I will get used to it. He is takingt this semester off from school and will start up again this summer. Our new ward is good. We are going to a regular family ward, which I like a lot better than the married student wards that we went to up in Logan. There are a few young couples, but it's mostly made up of families and older couples.

Baby:
So I am now 6 weeks and 4 days away from my due date...everything is going well. I had to switch doctors again because of insurance, so now we will be having the baby at the U of U hospital, I haven't met my new doctor yet (I go next week) but from what I've heard about her she is great. We also have the nursery pretty much set up. The crib is all set up and the clothes are put away. Now I just need to decorate the walls and make it look cute! I am not totally ready for the baby to be here, but I ready to be done being pregnant. I miss being able to wear my wedding ring, sleep on my back, and going up a flight of stairs without getting winded. I won't miss people looking at my tummy instead of my face, and I for sure won't miss wearing maturnity clothes. I'm still not very big, most people assume I am only 6 or 7 months along and are shocked to find out I have a month and a half left. All my doctors say that I am mearsuring right where I should be so the fact that I'm small in the belly is just fine.

This is me at 33 weeks

Well that's the lastest with us! For now life is pretty relaxed and calm...but soon enough that will change!
