Always check your pockets

I was doing laundry this weekend, I went to bed before one of the loads was done, I asked Brian to switch it before he headed to bed. Unfortunately he made a very sad discovery when he put the clothes into the dryer. Turns out Brian had left his iphone in his cargo pocket...which I didn't check. So his iphone went threw an entire wash, obviously it no longer works and he had to go back to his old phone. I feel horrible about it but Brian was very nice and didn't get mad at all. From now on I promise to always check our pants pockets, especially the cargo pockets.

Spring break=Winter activites

This week was spring break for Brian, today I took the day off and we headed up to Beaver Mountain with some friends and went snowboarding. Last time I went boarding it was not a good experience. I spent the majority of the time falling down and struggled to have a good time. But today it was a totally different story. I was able to stay up and maintain control. Brian was also able to teach me how to go on toeside. I can now go from toeside back to healside without falling. It was great. The snow was good and it was really warm. I kinda feel like a snowboarder now...

12 inches felt more like 24

The storm that hit us on Monday was insane! It felt like it snowed more in one day than it had all winter long. I managed to get to work on the slippery roads and park there all day and just watched the snow pile up more and more on top and around my car. By the time I left for home this is the mess I had to get out of...the snow was up to my knees! The Mazda is pretty low to the ground and light so unfortunately I was only able to back up about 3 feet before I got stuck and then it took 4 people to get my car out it was crazy!

After this storm I finally feel like I am living in Logan...

You can hardly even see the Mazda!
The snow was up to the bumper!
...Arizona here I come :)

Relocating

...688.58 miles south to Prescott, Arizona

This past weekend we drove down to Prescott to tour Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. After being on campus for a couple of minutes Brian was in love and had made up his mind that this was the school for him. During the campus tour all of the labs, classrooms, and projects that we saw just confirmed his decision. We met with an admissions counselor and he helped us understand the admissions process and what we would need to do in order to get accepted.
We walked away from the campus and Brian was literally skipping with excitement.
Then we went and looked at some apartments close to campus and found one that we fell in love with, it lets you have dogs and has a dishwasher! We filled out an application and a couple days later found out that we were approved and have a tentative move in date of May 1st.
This will be quite the adventure for us but we are both excited and scared. Who knows what experiences Prescott will bring us-but I am ready to face them.

We also took the opportunity to go visit one of Brian's mission friends and his wife that live in Peoria. We went to dinner and took the time to catch up-they are pretty excited about us moving down. At least I will know 2 people in Arizona! Then we went down to Phoenix to meet up with Brian's family for one of Natalee's soccer tournaments, we only got to see one game but her team played well. On the way home we stopped in Salt Lake and spent Presidents Day with my family. We went to lunch and then to a movie. It was a great and very productive weekend.

Pet friendly apartments

While looking for a pet friendly apartment I found out that it's rare that they allow you to have a dog-but if they do let you have a dog it's a 20-25 pound weight limit. That doesn't work for us, since we want to get a husky which are like 35-50 pounds...not exactly small. So this is our new plan, get a smaller dog now while renting apartments and a husky when we have a house with no weight limits... We're thinking on getting a Beagle. Aren't these cute? Beagles remind us of the dog Copper from the movie the Fox and the Hound.
"I'm Todd I'm a fox!"-Todd
"My name's Copper I'm a hound dawg, bowowowowowo"-Copper
"What'da make that sound for?"-Todd
"I don't know, that's what I'm supposed to do when I found sum-um."-Copper

...I am crossing my fingers that I will get a puppy for my birthday...
