Bear Lake

This weekend we went up to Bear Lake to go boating one last time before school starts. The water was really choppy, but we still managed to have some fun. Brian tried wake surfing. He was able to get up and have some fun, but he did suffer a minor injury. I wake boarded and was able to cut across both sides of the wake! It was a good way to finish out the summer, now it's back to school and work for the next 9 months :(

Aloha

Brian and I went to Hawaii with his entire family to celebrate his Grandparent's 50th wedding anniversay. The week was spent relaxing and enjoying not being at work. It is so pretty there. We did so many fun things! We we to Waikiki beach, snorkling, surfing, site seeing, and caught some zzz's. Oh, and Brian got stung by a Portugues Man of War(a little jelly fish) The most exciting thing that we did was go sky diving. Seriously. I am not kidding, I jumped(well was more pushed out of a plane). It scared me to death and I had my eyes closed and held my breath until the parachute opened. I am glad I went, but don't think I'll ever go again. Here are some pictures from our trip.

We went to Pearl Harbor and toured a battle ship and submarine. I could never live like that in such tight spaces. The monuments were interesting to go see, but made me sad to think about all the people that died that day.
We went to the Polynesian Cultural center as well. It was fun to see all of the different cultures represented by all the different islands. It also brought back fun memories from my highschool days...Inoke, Fui...ah those were the days.

It's almost here!

Utah football is so close I can almost taste it! This is a bitter sweet realization for me. For the past 4 seasons I've spent each Saturday watching the Utes play. Now since I am graduated and living in Logan the only easy access I have to college football is the Aggies...and let's face it, my highschool team played better than they do. But on a happier note, the Aggies first game of the season is against the Utes! September 13th! I can't wait! GO UTES!

Ode to batteries

So this happened about a week ago, but I'm posting it now. I had to come down to Salt Lake to take a final for one of my online classes and I was a bit early so I stopped at Wendy's to get some dinner before taking my test(I've heard it's good to take a test on a full stomach)so I go and eat and when I come back out to go up to the U and take my test....the car won't start. Nothing. Zip. Zilch. Zero. Nothing happened when I turned the key. I called Brian and tried to remain calm, but knowing that I'd probably broken his car somehow. Turns out the battery was dead and all I needed to do was find someone to come jump my car and I'd be on my way. Sounds pretty simple huh. Well, I called everyone I could think of and kept getting no answers or of out of town responses. I finally found a friend to come and help me. We tried and tried and tried but the dear Mazda battery just wouldn't hold a charge. It was getting late and I had to go take my test. So I called my brother to come help me while I went to go take the test. By the time I got back they'd(my brother, his brother and sister in law, and and his brother in law's older brother-how many people does it take to fix one car battery!) figured out that I probably had a friedbattery and would need to go get a new one from Autozone, who thankfully was still open as it was almost 11 now. I went with my brother and his wife to get a new battery. When we got back to the car it turns out that none of really new how to install a battery. But my brother being the boy that he his, jumped right in and figured it out lickity split! I've never been so happy to hear a car start up! So after a few hours of car trouble and one final later I was on my way back up to Logan. Needless to say it was one long night

Enchantment of the Seas

Just in case you hadn't guessed it for our honeymoon we went on a cruise! We stopped in Grand Caymen and Cozumel. It was nice to be able to just relax and not worry about anything. It was also my birthday while on the cruise. That night we decided to go to the fancy dress up place for dinner and after we went up to the Skybar Lounge and went dancing. I loved it, it was the best birthday.

We did it!

We did it! On May 14th, 2008 we got married in the Salt Lake Temple. It was amazing. We had tons of support from family and friends. It was the happiest day of our lives! I'll post more pictures from the wedding once I get them.

After 4 years I did it

I fake graduated from the University of Utah on May 2nd. (I will technically finish in August, but I walked in May) I only have 9 more credits to do over the summer. I am doing them online since I now live in Logan.
