We moved again...

So we moved again last week. I think that everytime we move I need to expect something to go wrong. We were scheduled to pick up our truck at 9:30, so Brian and my brother headed out to go get it...unfortunately there wasn't anyone at the Uhaul place when they arrived. After making a few calls we learned that the guy wouldn't be able to come to the store for a few more hours...lame. So we started loading what we could in our cars until Uhaul called to tell us we could come get a truck. So once we finally got the truck we loaded it up, drove a couple miles, and then started the unpacking process. I was incharge of telling everyone where to put things and tried to stay organized. Moving is not one of my favorite things to do, so hopefully we won't be doing it again for a long time. I'll post pictures as soon as I either find my camera battery charger or just go buy a new one(I think it was lost in our first move of the summer).

In other news our summer is going great. We had a great 4th of July full of fireworks, family BBQs, and the drive in. We've been boating a few times and just enjoying the warm weather. I am looking forward to school starting up again. I have loved working with the one year olds for the summer but I also can't wait to get back to teaching preschool. I will be moving up to the 4 year old preschool, so I will have my same kids as last year-which I am so excited about. Other than that we are just anxiously awaiting the arrival of Brian's little brother, he will be returning from Brazil in 22 days!

You never know what's around the next corner

Lately our life has felt like this road, we head down a path when suddenly there is an unexpected turn and change in our lives. To make a long story short Brian decided to change his major to Business so we aren't moving to Arizona anymore and will be staying at Utah State. Right after he decided on that I was offered the directors position at the preschool I teach at, I accepted it and was going to start training on May 26th, but when I got to work that day the owner called me into the office and told me that they had decided to "go another direction" and hire someone else to be the director and keep me in the preschool because I am such and "asset" there. It was frustrating to say the least. Brian has also had many job leads that turned into a dead end. We just aren't sure what we're supposed to be doing these days. So we're just going to take it day by day. I am still working at my preschool. I am in the one year old class for the summer and will be back to teach the 4 year old math class in the fall...I am hoping that our road doesn't make anymore sudden turns for a long time. :)

To cut or not to cut...

So I'm debating on whether or not to cut my hair...I think my long hair makes me look older, but my short hair is just to quick and easy to do. Let me know what you think
Examples of long hairand a few of short hair...I'm just torn on what to do...

I'm 23!

One year older and wiser too! Happy birthday to me!
It was my birthday on the 18th. We went down to Salt Lake for the weekend to celebrate with our families. We went to dinner with some of my girl friends on Saturday, went to church with Brian's family and ate lunch, then headed to my parent's for some grilled hamburgers and birthday cake. I love birthdays! I spent my actual birthday at work and then out to dinner with Brian that night.

My funfetti birthday cake.
It took me a few trys to get all the candles out, 23 is just too much for me :)
Kimberly, Adrienne, Heather, and Heidi joined me at my favorite place Training Table.

One Year Anniversay

Our year anniversary was on Thursday! I can't believe it's already been a year. Time has flown by. Our first year was full of a lot of adventures...I moved to Logan and had my first office job(which I wasn't fond of), we went sky diving in Hawaii, swam with dolphins on the Bahamas, visited Arizona a lot, and got to know the drive down to Salt Lake very well. We also go used to the day to day life of being married. It's been great. Being with Brian makes me the happiest that I have ever been. I am very lucky and blessed to have him in my life.

We got all dressed up and went to dinner at Hamilton's. The food was delicious, and the desserts were to die for(I got cheesecake and Brian had Creme Brulie)
Afterwords we went home and danced in our living room to our song(When you say you love me by Josh Groban) and got out the top from our wedding cake, complete with sparkling apple cider. We felt fancy using our fake wine glasses.
About to eat the cake...
The after affect, turns out our year old wedding cake was discusting. I mean really really gross.
Overall our night was very simple but very romantic and relaxing, I loved it!

Demolition Derby

We went to the demolition derby this weekend. It was our first it's almost summer and finally feels like spring activity. It was pretty fun to watch, it's one of the only events that you will find people actually cheering when cars crash into each other, the harder the crash the louder the cheers. I'm looking forward to the truck derby-bigger cars mean bigger crashes!

Just enjoying the atmosphere

There was so much smoke coming from the cars-I'm not sure how the drivers could see where they were going.
The blue car hit the black car with enough force that it actually flipped over (with a little pushing help from the blue car) The crowd went crazy! And don't worry both drivers were fine.

This turned into a 6 car pile up-the drivers kept waving the other cars onto hitting them and hopefully knocking them free.

Moved...

Brian and I moved to a new apartment for the summer. My parents came up to help us out-we decided we'd save some money and not rent a uhaul. We borrowed a pick-up truck from my cousin. We thought it would be a good idea-and it was, until it started to rain and snow! It was a memorable move, all of our stuff got soaked and our furniture had to air out. We got all moved and settled in one day, mostly thanks to my mom who insisted on unpacking.

Here are a few pictures of our new place...
This is our family room
The teeny kitchen The bathroom This is our extar room that is full to the brim of all our stuff...we like to shut the door and pretend like it's not there... ;)
