All better

Brian's run in with the surf board has healed quite nicely. It did leave a pretty cool scar though, now all we have to do is think of a really good story to go along with it.

Miss Stevie

I started a new job! I am the preschool teacher for the 3 year old math class. It's great. I love it. The kids are great, some are a handful but that's to be expected. It's fun to teach the kids and see them be so excited when they learn something new.
This is my math room!

Unwanted house guests

So our apartment is great, but it is a basement apartment and because of that, we have lots of spiders. I. Hate. Spiders. We lived here for about a month before I got sick of being constantly on guard, so Brian and I ventured to Walmart to see what we could do to take care of this problem. These spider traps have been down for a couple of months now and we have caught 96 spiders. Sick. We put down new traps today, hopefully they don't get as full as our last ones. Anyone have any good ideas to get rid of the unwanted house guests?
Our bathroom
The laundry room
The corner of our bedroom(sick-this trap had the most and the biggest ones, imagine I sleep in the same room as these things!)

Bear Lake

This weekend we went up to Bear Lake to go boating one last time before school starts. The water was really choppy, but we still managed to have some fun. Brian tried wake surfing. He was able to get up and have some fun, but he did suffer a minor injury. I wake boarded and was able to cut across both sides of the wake! It was a good way to finish out the summer, now it's back to school and work for the next 9 months :(

Aloha

Brian and I went to Hawaii with his entire family to celebrate his Grandparent's 50th wedding anniversay. The week was spent relaxing and enjoying not being at work. It is so pretty there. We did so many fun things! We we to Waikiki beach, snorkling, surfing, site seeing, and caught some zzz's. Oh, and Brian got stung by a Portugues Man of War(a little jelly fish) The most exciting thing that we did was go sky diving. Seriously. I am not kidding, I jumped(well was more pushed out of a plane). It scared me to death and I had my eyes closed and held my breath until the parachute opened. I am glad I went, but don't think I'll ever go again. Here are some pictures from our trip.
Practicing my hula dancing with Will, Cara, and Natalee...
Brian got a wicked awesome white trash sunburn from the rash guard he wore while learning to surf
We went to Pearl Harbor and toured a battle ship and submarine. I could never live like that in such tight spaces. The monuments were interesting to go see, but made me sad to think about all the people that died that day.
We went to the Polynesian Cultural center as well. It was fun to see all of the different cultures represented by all the different islands. It also brought back fun memories from my highschool days...Inoke, Fui...ah those were the days.
